“Marriage-Seeking 2016” is performed in Iceland on the first of September 2016 which contented that artist was waiting for people to marry her. The artwork will be performed in eight times during artist’s life, in every ten years.
Artist has declared that if there’s one applicant, she’ll marry her/him. If there’s more than one, she’ll choose one. If there’s nobody, she’ll wait until next decade. Audience had to fill out an application form if they want to marry the artist.
There were 10 applicants:
6 females, 4 men.
6 from Iceland, 1 from Sweden, 2 from Australia, 1 from Canadian;
1956, 1962, 1966, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1985, 1992;
2 of Aries, 1 of Gemini, 4 of Cancer, 1 of Virgo, 2 of Pisces;
2 are married, 3 are unmarried, 1 is married-getting divorced, 2 Single, 2 wrote DE FACTO;
3 holds Bachelor, 3 holds Master, 4 unknown;
5 Artists, 1 Student, 1 Cultural Manager, 1 Artistic Director, 1 Assistant Client Rep,1 Businessman;
9 confirmed, 1 cancelled.
